Partner with God for Your Miracle

One of my favorite Bible stories is in 2 Chronicles 20 (v. 1-30). In short, 3 armies were ganging up on the Israelites and decided to jump them. Israel’s king at the time told everyone to fast, pray, and ask God for advice. God said, “Chill, I’ve got it under control. Just show up to the battlefield tomorrow, you won’t even have to fight.” (That’s the Kim Reveil Translation LOL) Spoiler alert, they OBEYED and won the war without lifting a sword.

There are so many lessons in this story but what I want to point out today is that you must partner with God to see His promises come to pass!

Here are four ways to do so exemplified in this Word:

1. Praying + Fasting - (v. 3-12) When the Israelites heard news of the attack, they immediately sought God for strategy by fasting and praying. When you humble yourself before the Lord in this way, He always answers.

Also study Isaiah 58, Mark 9:14-29.

2. Radical Obedience - (v. 20) This means obeying whether you know why or not and whether you want to or not. Obedience brings protection & provision! The Israelite army got EARLY the next day to do what God said even though they were nervous about what was against them.

Also study Deuteronomy 28, Deuteronomy 5:33, John 14:23

3. Never Speak Against It - (v. 20-21) First of all, the power of life & death is in what you say. It's literally demonic to openly deny a beautiful promise from God. Take from King Jehoshaphat's example and "have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful."

Also study Prov. 18:21, Isaiah 55:10-11

4. Sacrifices of Praise - (v. 18-19, 21-24) The story says as soon as the Israelites began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes on the armies against them. Worship is a weapon against the enemy, against your negative emotions, and against your doubt!

Also study Psalm 9:1, Hebrews 13:15 NLT, Exodus 15:2

When you're on the same team as God your success is inevitable. But, you have to MOVE to see things happen. Know that you're taking action and contending for your miracle already standing in the place of victory, not fighting for it.

I'm excited to hear the stories of breakthrough you share when you apply this Word to your life! Get moving, friend!

xoxo, Kim
